What has the election actually delivered? A post-election special considers the immediate results and the wider issues
Eleven days after the election, there may still be critical special votes to count and of course a jostling of parties in negotiations to form a new coalition.
So the post-election panel will discuss the results with chair Max Rashbrooke and also move to wider issues. Why does Labour leave it to the Greens to campaign on transformative change? Why are the two major parties shrinking? How strong is our democracy? What does MMP deliver? Where do we sit in the wider global context of increasing support for the far right?
The panel:
Kassie Hartendorp (director of ActionStation)
Rob Campbell (chancellor of AUT and former chair of Te Whatu Ora)
Tom Jamieson (Senior Lecturer Political Science at Victoria Uni).
And the chair is Max Rashbrooke (writer and researcher on democracy and economic inequality).
Join us at 2/57 Willis Street, Wellington.
5.30pm on Wednesday 18 November.
